As children, we didn’t question our gifts, we were passionate learners, we didn’t fear failure, we assumed we were lovable, we trusted our intuition, we saw the whole world with wonder and appreciation, we didn’t judge.
I believe that we must support our children in maintaining this authenticity.
Because there are no bounds to what we can accomplish when we believe in ourselves!

I wholeheartedly embrace and honor your vision and beliefs. It has taken me many years to recognize that my children are here to teach me, even more than I am there to teach them. My children are my mirrors: they reflect back to me with uncanny accuracy all of the unfinished business in my own life; all of the times that I resist accepting life as it is, and push away from my discomfort with the present moment. You’ve given me much to think about this morning.
Best,

Heidi, I am so glad Scott sent me the link. I enjoyed your writing so, so much. The video is absolutely awesome! I have been practising yoga for quite a number of years now, and much of your beliefs and philosophy about life and growth are very much what I have learned in my yoga classes. Your journey is fascinating.
I only have the usual banal regret – how I wished I had learned these things when I was younger. How I wished I had payed attention to my LIFE instead of racing around trying to be the perfect wife, mother, teacher? Not that now is too late, but I feel sometimes like I missed some really important irretrievable moments. Pivotal epiphanies – gone.
By the way, my children and students are still teaching me every day. That never ends!
Let’s talk soon.
Sally
